Citing a threat to “American higher education and the defining principles of our country,” 48 university and college leaders sent a letter to President Trump on Thursday, Feb. 2, urging the president to take action to remove the travel ban. Brown University shared their story to ask that he ‘rectify or rescind’ his executive order to temporarily ban travel from five mostly Muslim countries, because of the detriment to students and educators, and to the universities who benefit from their diversity, intellect, and scholarly contributions.
