Known worldwide for her portrayal of the smartest witch at Hogwarts, Emma Watson has moved on from the Harry Potter Franchise to become a Brown University educated feminist. She is now using her fame and intelligence to promote gender equality as a United Nation Women’s goodwill ambassador. One of her greatest contributions to the quest for gender equality is the He for She campaign, which strives to engage men and boys as agents of change for the achievement of gender equality and women’s rights, by encouraging them to take action against inequalities faced by women and girls.
So how does Watson handle all of her responsibilities as a UN Women’s Goodwill Ambassador and remain one of the most beautiful, body-positive actresses in Hollywood?
She says she eats healthy and exercises regularly. Watson’s diet consists of proper portions of proteins, carbohydrates, and fibers and tries to only eat foods that contain low amounts of sugar, saturated fat, and salt, replacing processed foods with fruit, vegetables, and lean meats.
While it may seem like she is the picture of clean eating, Watson admits to occasionally eating chocolate, baked goods, pasta, and bagels that she only discovered after attending college in America.
Emma Watson encourages working out five days a week. She enjoys pilates, field hockey, hiking, running outdoors, and swimming. During her workouts, she focuses on cardio, weightlifting, and sprints. These exercises combined with Watson’s clean diet result in toned, lean muscles, a stronger body and cardiovascular system, a boosted metabolism and immune system, and increased stamina. All of these benefits are necessary when you have a busy and demanding life like Emma Watson.
